Sales and New Business Consultant

My client, a long-standing Peterborough based business is currently seeking a Sales and New Business Consultant to join their team on a part time and permanent basis. This role will encompass both new business sales activity and the management of existing key accounts.

We are ideally seeking an individual who can work between 20-30 hours each week. Flexibility can be offered, dependent upon individual and business needs.

As Sales and New Business Consultant you will be responsible for generating leads and securing new business opportunities. My client offers a range of products and services, it will be your responsibility to establish new connections and promote the business within the local market.

We are seeking a successful sales professional who is commercially minded and has a proven sales record within a B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage new business/sales activity
• Generate and secure new business opportunities
• Conduct outbound sales activity
• Manage and develop key accounts
• Network within the local market – networking events/exhibitions
• Conduct face to face meetings, pitch and present to local businesses
• Build lasting business relations with a range of new and existing clients
• Manage general marketing activity, i.e. social media and email campaigns
• Work closely with the existing team to ensure company standards are achieved and exceeded

Key Skills required:
• Previous B2B sales/business development experience
• Commercial awareness
• Exceptional communication skills
• Pro-active and self-driven attitude
• Strong organisational skills
• A keen eye for detail
• A strong team player
