Sales Representative – Horticulture

Due to continued success, my client who specialise in commercial horticultural and agricultural supplies is currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

Previous experience of working within the horticultural or agricultural sector would be preferred, however, we will consider applicants from all sales backgrounds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding business. We are seeking an individual who possesses natural sales and account management skills but is also keen to develop themselves further.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing new and existing business relations. You will provide technical support on a range of products and will successfully manage key accounts across the region.

This role is predominantly field based, however, due to the technical nature, the successful applicant may spend the first 12 months in the sales office to gain knowledge of the business and products.
The successful applicant will also be supported through any required training and qualifications.

We’re seeking an ambitious sales professional who is a strong team player and is able to build and maintain excellent working relations. You will be working alongside a fantastic team of like-minded individuals who will encourage and support your development.

Responsibilities – Technical Sales Representative:
• Account Management
• New Business Development – office and field based
• Identify and secure new business opportunities
• Offer technical/product support
• Become a technical expert within this field
• Attend national exhibitions/tradeshows
• Visit customers on site at various locations across the UK
• Sales administration – order processing
